If you like to bike, then you will definitely appreciate North Hatley’s wonderful network of bicycle trails. North Hatley is located on the Grande-Fourches network – Axe Massawippi. This wonderful network of trails spreads over 15km in length and takes you from Sherbrooke, past Bishop’s University, along an old railroad and all the way to Lake Massawippi. Did you know that one portion of this trail is directly in front of our house? See the Bicycle Trail Map (We are near the little picnic table and the yellow dot next to the Lake Massawippi!).
800 Road 108, North Hatley, Québec | (819) 346-9545 | Website (only in French) Venture underground and explore the old copper mines dating back to 1863. This unique family activity is definitely one of most interesting and unique attraction is in North Hatley. You can chose between two activities:
- Guided tour of the Mines (duration: 1h45)
- Guided tour of the Mine and Guided digging for precious minerals tour (duration: 3h30)
Please be advised that the temperature in the underground caves usually stays at around 7°C. It is recommended to bring warm cloths (and water proof boots for the Guided digging tour).

North Hatley Marina

- Single Kayak: $15.00 per hour
- Double Kayak: $20.00 per hour
- Peddle Boat: $20.00 per hour
- Boat (20 HP): $50.00 per hour
The North Hatley Marina is open 7 days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Fishing Guide Lake Massawippi

If you would like to add some adventure to your stay in North Hatley, then why not go fishing with a guide and explore the hidden beauty of Lake Massawippi? Mr. Hugues Sebire offers private as well as group guided tours. These tours can be scheduled either for a day or half a day. All the fishing equipment is included in the price. All you need to bring is your lunch. Please note that you need to reserve the fishing tours ahead of time.
North Hatley Beach

The 2013 summer activities include: Supervised Swimming, Sailing Lessons, Aqua Fitness, Swimming Lessons, Kayak Lessons and Tennis. You need to purchase a ticket to access the North Hatley Beach. Tennis courts are reserved for members only.
215 Chemin Simard, North Hatley, Québec | (819) 842-2431 | Website This wonderful outdoor theatre has been an important cultural part of North Hatley for nearly half a century. It features a seating capacity of 250 and it’s only open during the summer. The 2013 season is packed with many interesting shows including comedy shows, plays and different music concerts.
Auberge La Caravane

It not only serves as a music concert scene, but it also provides rooms for rent and serves a brunch made from local and organic produce. Music concerts are usually performed on Fridays and on Saturdays.
De La Rivière Park, North Hatley, Québec North Hatley’s own Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday (June 1st to October 12th) from 10 AM to 12 PM. This is a great opportunity to mingle among the locals, taste delicious local foods and find unique artisanal gifts.
Dreamland Park is located at the heart of North Hatley. It offers stunning views of the Lake Massawippi and picturesque views of the village and the water promenade. This park is perfect to take in the scenery of the beautiful nature of North Hatley, relax during the day, have a picnic by the lake, enjoy live music in the evening, meet interesting travellers and mingle with the locals. During the month of July, enjoy live music in the park every Saturday from 7 PM to 9 PM. This is definitely not an exhaustive list of activities.
