Quebec’s National Holiday
Celebrations to mark Quebec’s National Holiday on June 24th will take place at parc de la Rivière. From 10 a.m. to noon, the Farmers Market will officially open for the summer season. From 1 p.m. on, family activities are planned to please everyone and will feature local artists, artisans and musicians, inflatable games and face painting. At 4 p.m., the Mayor and Councilors will deliver the official speech to mark the event. At 7:30 p.m., the musical Danse Trad group will perform traditional Québécois music free of charge, followed by the lighting of the customary St- Jean bonfire at 9 p.m.
Festivities to mark Canada Day will take place at Dreamland Park starting at 4 p.m. with a BBQ hosted by the North Hatley Royal Canadian Legion 242 and followed by a free concert by the Kevin Groves Band at 7:30 p.m. Spectacular fireworks by our Régie intermunicipale de protection contre les incendies (RIPI) will cap off the day’s events.
Free Music Concerts
Beginning Sunday, July 2nd and every weekend until September 3rd, the Municipality will be presenting the free DREAMLAND CONCERTS series at Dreamland Park on Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m.
