We are very excited to announce that this summer, Sherbrooke will host the Canada Games 2013. Much like the Olympics, Canada Games are held every two years, alternating between summer and winter seasons.
The first Canada Games were held in Québec City in 1967. Since then, this event evolved to become the largest national multi-sport event for young athletes in the country. Each Canada Games event is held in a different Province and Municipality. In 2011, the Games were held in Halifax and in 2015, the Games will be in Prince George.
This summer, the Games will be held from August 2nd to August 17th, 2013. This intense two week event will feature over 4500 athletes from across Canada competing in 20 different sports!
This summer, numerous events, including the opening ceremony, will be held at Sherbrooke University (15 km from Le Cachet B&B!).
The tickets are available for purchase through Ovation Network:
- Weekly Pass Sports ($35 per person): includes the general admission for either Week 1 (August 2 to August 9) or Week 2 (August 11 to August 17
- Two-Week Pass Sports ($50 per person): includes the general admission for both weeks
